Villager steps on bomb, loses leg in Songkhla

SONGKHLA: A villager's leg was blown off when he stepped on a bomb buried near a railway bridge in Chana district on Thursday evening, not far from the scene of a clash between soldiers and insurgents earlier that day.

Sutthisak Meansen, 44, had left home to go fishing near the bridge at Nam Khem village Moo 9 in tambon Ban Na.
