A picturesque village less than an hour away from Bristol has been named as one of the most beautiful in the UK.
In an article by Conde Nast Traveller, who are renowned for listing some of the most incredible, must-visit destinations in the world, Mells in Somerset placed 7th out of 20 'most beautiful villages in the UK and Ireland'.
The list, which was published on February 16, also features destinations such as Helford in Cornwall, Cartmel in Cumbria, Nether Compton in Dorset, Southrop in Gloucestershire and even Portree in the Isle of Skye.

The entry for Mells reads: "Meander through this sleepy Somerset village and marvel at the 15th-century New Street, which runs to St Andrew's Church, where the great war poet Siegfried Sassoon is buried. Set off with a map in hand to explore the surrounding rolling hills and build up an appetite for a wood-fired pizza at the Walled Garden."
The list also recommends staying at The Talbot Inn "with its roll-top baths and vintage Welsh rugs" or Soho House's "original rural outpost" - or even driving five-minutes to Babington House.
