A vile Scots pensioner found with child sex abuse images has been put behind bars.

William Smith, 73, was hauled into the docks at Perth Sheriff Court following an intelligence-led operation by Police Scotland. Operation Acuate, launched solely into the abhorrent offending of Smith, found the pervert to be in possession of a number of horrific indecent images of children.

After pleading guilty on November 21, the beast was today convicted of the crimes and caged for 13 months.
