The Minnesota Vikings have currently been mocked 49 different players so far during this draft cycle. That’s quite a high number, but this class isn’t very top heavy.
The depth of this class is between pick 20 and 70 with the talent being in a relatively similar bucket. That has led to a lot of different players being sent to the Vikings with most of them coming at their scheduled 23rd overall pick.
There were a few mock drafts that came out and they had the Vikings going in two different directions.

Banks is currently my 5th-ranked cornerback and plays like a physical monster.
The Vikings are thin at CB, and Deonte Banks’ impressive NFL Combine showcased the skill set he can add to that secondary.-Kyle Stackpole

My fifth wide receiver, Smith-Njigba is an interesting player to send to the Vikings.
Smith-Njigba is a slot-only player for now. But he’s a very good one. The underclassman’s route running versus man coverage and when maneuvering zone coverage is as good as anyone’s in this class. He’s also exceptionally comfortable catching the ball in traffic and shows the ability to work outside his frame, all of which plays into him being a QB’s best friend.
The main hurdle for Smith-Njigba in Minnesota will be blocking, especially if the Vikings keep him in the slot. He didn’t really have to do it at Ohio State, but the Vikings’ run-first offense will force him to figure it out.-Derrik Klassen

After seeing Quentin Johnston and Jordan Addison come off the board in the two picks prior, the Vikings take the aggressive cornerback.
