The Minnesota Vikings have been bitten hard by the injury bug this season and they could be getting some good news.
In speaking with the media on Tuesday, defensive coordinator Brian Flores expressed optimism about starting ILB Jordan Hicks returning this season.
Against the New Orleans Saints, Hicks suffered a shin injury that developed compartment syndrome. That required surgery quickly and Hicks was placed on injured reserve.
Since then, Hicks has been active at the facility including attending meetings. His veteran leadership is something that can’t be overstated either.
It is worth noting that the Vikings are 0-2 without Hicks in the lineup. Getting him back for the stretch run will be important. The earliest he can return is on Christmas Eve against the Detroit Lions.
