Vikings are finally rid of Aaron Rodgers in NFC North

The Minnesota Vikings won’t have to deal with a future Hall of Fame quarterback playing for the Green Bay Packers for the first time since 1991. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Packers agreed to trade Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets in a blockbuster trade with multiple picks involved.

This is the second time that the Packers have traded a future Hall of Fame quarterback this century. They traded Brett Favre for a conditional fourth-round pick in 2008.

The trade is honestly good for both sides. Going into his age 40 season, getting essentially what amounts to a first and a second-round pick is good for the Packers and the Jets got a quarterback who could potentially put them over the top for a playoff run.
