Vijender's coach credits Hyderabad for change in boxing trend in India

Hyderabad Vijender Singh Akhil Kumar Jitendra Kumar India Olympics

HYDERABAD: Jagdish Singh is a big name in boxing circles. His claim to fame is through his wards Vijender Singh, Akhil Kumar, Vikas Krishan Yadav, Jitendra Kumar and Kavita Chahal.

Vijender is the most famous of them all and his bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 enhanced his coach's stock. Four of the five-member boxing team at Beijing honed their skill at the Bhiwani Boxing Club under the watchful eyes of Jagdish Singh.
