The RTE Toy Show was once again a hit with viewers last night with many hailing it as "the best in years" although one man in the crowd became an unexpected focus of attention.
From Billy the future Garda to Aron the pilot and Emmie meeting the Irish Women's Football team, there were plenty of moments of joy to savour for viewers.
For the 14th year in a row, Ryan Tubridy took on the mammoth task of keeping the chaos in order and proved there’s no place like home with a Wizard of Oz special.

The Scarecrow ran through yet another spectacular opening routine with Dorothy played by Carlow girl Ali Sheehan, 10, and Toto the dog as himself flanked by the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion.
A total of 200 munchkins, fairies, witches, dragons, monkeys, singers and dancers participated in the movie medley.
Tubs also joined the Spotlight Stage School performers for a rendition of the Frank Sinatra classic Let It Snow amid a fake blizzard.
Viewers were quick to praise this year’s rendition as “the best one in years”.
“The show was brilliant and the kids were fantastic ..merry Xmas everyone,” wrote one viewer.
“Best Toy Show in recent years!,” added another.
“I thought the toy show this year was brilliant, very good”.
“The kids were fantastic the show was absolutely brilliant best one and a long time”.
“Best Toy Show ever”
“Best toy show since Gaybo, ordinary real children as ever at their best. Well done all”.
“Fantastic show, Ryan is great with the children well done”.
“It's actually very good this year, not a bit rushed which every year it is”.
Others praised the incredible funds that were raised by viewers:
“Imagine 3.something million raised we are the best nation in the world”.
However, one man in the audience unexpectedly became a big part of the show as he was lambasted by viewers on Twitter.
The man dubbed 'woo guy' on Twitter proceeded to 'woo' for every toy, performance and prize and people were fuming.
One person wrote: "Woo woo guy. You ruined my night completely so you could have the free audience gifts, but I hope now you spend it on some lessons in grace & decorum because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on."
Another spotted him early on: "Love that we’re not even ten minutes in and we already have a common enemy, united in hatred of the woo woo guy."
Another posted: "The woo guy gonna be f**king fuming when he gets home and realise he’s the most hated person on this years show."
