Abbie Edwards has been crowned this year’s champion of ITV’s Starstruck. Whilst the episode began airing at 8.30pm on Saturday, April 8, it seems that the social media team got a bit excited as they released the singer’s winning performance on their YouTube channel at half past nine - 20 minutes before the episode ended.
During this year’s series, Abbie transformed into her idol Adele. She sang Someone Like You and impressed judges Jason Manford, Shania Twain, Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert

Elsewhere, someone wrote: “ITV have already posted the winner on their YouTube page FFS.” A third then commented: “They've only gone & announced the winner on youtube already... oops! #Starstruck”
One person even said they'd take a bet ahead of the winner's reveal. They joked: "I will bet anyone £20000 that Adele wins any takers #Starstruck #youtube."
Starstruck sees members of the public transformed into music icons. Abbie, the second winner of the series, won £50,000 for her impressing the studio audience.
Starstruck is set to return to ITV1 and ITVX next year
