Ilia Topuria remained undefeated with a breakout performance at UFC on ABC 5.
In the featherweight main event this past Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla., Topuria put on a masterclass against Josh Emmett as he won a unanimous decision by scores of 50-44, 50-42 and 49-45. It was nothing short of domination from Topuria (14-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who battered Emmett with his striking for almost all of 25 minutes.
Afterward, Topuria said he would only accept a bout with former champion Max Holloway – who fights August 26 vs. Chan Sung Jung – or a title shot at 145 pounds.
Our questions: What did this fight do for Topuria, and does the UFC have a new featherweight star on its hands?
