The moment Edinburgh residents were forced to abandon their homes during a dramatic late night fire has been captured on film.
On Wednesday morning, June 15, a blaze ravaged a tenement block on Leith Walk, with multiple people rushed to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, and others treated at the scene.
A dog was also rescued from the fire, with the aftermath of the incident showing the whole downstairs corridor and stairwell stained black and several items burnt out hours later.

As residents were being evacuated from the building, one managed to capture the scenes on their phone and posted the video on TikTok, which shows the extent of the damage and all of the emergency services situated in and around the fire-damaged building.
With the incident occurring around 2:30am, people were awoken to the sound of chaos and panic below them, with the exact known of the blaze currently unknown.
One resident captured shots of their flat, which appears to be a couple storey's high, with their living room filled with smoke and upon leaving, the walls and stairs within the hall are all stained black.
The caption simply reads: "Point of view: you're about to die in a fire."
Although the caption sounds dramatic and multiple residents were taken to hospital, it is understood that there are no major injuries reported.
In the video, numerous fire engines and ambulances can be seen outside the block of flats, as a section of Leith Walk was cordoned off by police.
Those evacuating the block can be seen walking down the stairs surrounded by smoke, as well as a dog captured in the video, which also required oxygen from ambulance crews.
Scenes the following day showed the extent of the damage, with the building door left open and most of the windows in each flat open to release the smoke and strong burning smell.
Police Scotland have since issued a statement on the incident, saying that they are still to estbalish the circumstances which led to the fire, and anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
They said: "Officers were called to a building on fire on Leith Walk, Edinburgh at around 2.55am on Wednesday, 15 June, 2022.
"Emergency services attended and officers assisted with road closures. Three people were also taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
Detective Constable Christina Yeoman of Gayfield CID said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious at the time of the incident.
“Anyone with any information that could help the investigation should call quoting incident 0302 of the 15th June 2022.”
