Victoria Police charge two teenage boys with murder after woman's death in Abbotsford

Homicide Squad detectives have charged two teenage boys with murder after the death of a woman in Melbourne's inner north on Wednesday night.

A boy, 15, and another aged 14 were each charged on Friday evening with one count of murder, Victoria Police said in a statement.

The charges relate to the death of a woman, who was found seriously injured at a Stafford Street address in Abbotsford about 11:10pm on April 5.

The 41-year-old victim, was taken to hospital, however died shortly afterwards as a result of her injuries.

Victoria Police said a boy, 13, who had also been at the residence was not physically injured.

The charged teens will appear before a children's court at a later date, police said.
