Cardiff Council has confirmed that Victoria Park Splash Pad in Canton has reopened after it broke down the previous day. On Thursday, the council announced that they had to close down the attraction due to issues with the filtration system of the splash pad.
In a statement shared on Facebook on Thursday, a post from Cardiff Council wrote: "We’re really sorry to say that the filtration system on our Victoria Park Splash Pad has broken down, so we’ve had to close it today.
"We’re doing everything we can to have it repaired as soon as possible. We’ll post another update the minute it’s fixed. Sorry everyone".

But on Friday afternoon, Cardiff Council then announced that it had reopened after contractors had been "working hard all morning" to fix the filtration system. The £485,000 facility, which opened for the first time in 2016 on the site of the former paddling pool in the Canton park, has 33 exciting features for youngsters to enjoy and is a firm favourite for families.
On a day in which temperatures could reach highs of of 30°C in Wales, perhaps many families and children will be glad to know the maintenance work on the site has now completed and has reopened. In a post published on Cardiff Council's Facebook page on Friday, it wrote: "Good news everyone - Victoria Park Splash Pad has reopened!
"The contractors have been working hard all morning to fix the filtration system. Time to cool off in this glorious weather!"
