A self-service branch of NatWest within Nottingham's Victoria Centre is to permanently close later this year, the bank has announced.
The branch, on the ground floor of the shopping centre, has been out of action since November 2021.
According to Victoria Centre's website the bank took the precautionary decision to temporarily close as part of its response to Covid. However the cash machine is still working.
The permanent closure date is July 6.
Customers were notified by a letter in which local director Wesley Dallow said: "Closing branches is always a difficult decision and not one that we ever take lightly.
"The simple reason is the way people bank has changed. The shift towards digital means millions of our customers now manage their money online.
"With fewer people going into branch, we've had to make some really tough choices. Which is unfortunately why we'll not be reopening this branch.
The next nearest NatWest is Smiths Bank in South Parade, next to Old Market Square.
