Victoria Beckham's friends have reportedly taken a bite out of Rio Ferdinand after David Beckham's former team-mate said he's never seen her eat a thing.
The footy pundit, 44, put his foot in it after finding himself being drawn on Posh Spice's diet.
Rio said he had never seen Victoria enjoy a mean despite often dining with the former pop star and her legendary husband.
Speaking to Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O on Thursday, the host admitted she was 'obsessed' with fashion icon Victoria's diet.
Jackie went on to probe dad-of-four Rio, who opened up about his friendship with the famous family and the topic soon turned to Victoria's eating habits.
He confessed: "I've never seen her eat anything. I don't remember anything that sticks out of my memory, to be honest."
Rio was quick to clarify Posh was 'nice' during their meetings, as Jackie continued to grill the former footballer about the Spice Girl.
Jackie's co-host chimed in, joking: "You can't be asking a player about another soccer player's wife."
Rio quickly said of his partner Kate: "My wife won't be happy with that!"
But those chose close to Posh, 47, aren't overly impressed and said it was "nonsense" to suggest she rarely eats.
A friend of the couple told The Sun : "Victoria has spoken a lot about what she eats and to say she doesn't is a load of nonsense.
"Why people are interested in what she eats is bizarre. Victoria has made no secret of the food she enjoys and doesn't make an issue of it - so why people comment on it is baffling."
Last year, the superstar was forced to clarify claims about her diet, thanks to husband David revealing she has eaten the same meal every day for 25 years.
"I get quite emotional about food and wine. When I'm eating something great I want everyone to try it," the former England captain explained on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast in January 2021.
"Unfortunately, I'm married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I've met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables. She'll very rarely deviate away from there."
"I mean, talk about making me sound boring!" Victoria told Vogue in July, with the publication noting she rolled her eyes when discussing her husband's claim during their interview.
"No. What he meant is that he’s never met anyone who’s more disciplined with the way that they eat. I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing.
"I do drink alcohol, unless I have a reason not to. I’ll detox from anything for three to six months where I won’t drink. I’m quite extreme in anything I do, whether it’s eating or working out or drinking or not drinking."
