Victoria Beckham is on a major 'wedding comedown' following the high of her eldest son's wedding.
Earlier this month, David and Victoria's first-born son, Brooklyn, 23, tied the knot with Transformers actress, Nicola Peltz, 27, in a lavish £3million ceremony at her billionaire father's estate in Florida.
And after an exciting couple of weeks, fashion designer Victoria is now wishing that she could relive the special day all over again as she gets back to normal life in the UK.
Victoria, who spent the Easter bank holiday weekend in the Cotswolds with her family, has now been left feeling nostalgic about her own wedding to husband David, 47, as her everyday normal life resumes after the sheer excitement and joy of Brooklyn and Nicola's fairytale wedding.
While the former Spice Girls star enjoyed some birthday celebrations over the weekend as she marked her 48th year, pals say that Victoria can't help but feel a little 'lost' following months of preparation and planning for Brooklyn's wedding.
"After all the excitement from the wedding, Victoria has found herself suddenly and unexpectedly feeling quite sad and nostalgic for the past when her and David were newly married and so in love," a source told Closer.
"Seeing the huge fuss that was made over Brooklyn and Nicola warmed her heart, but it also stirred up old memories. She can't help but feel those halcyon days with David are like a distant memory now and she wonders if they will ever be able to recapture that magic they had between them," the insider added.
Victoria has 'brushed off' how deeply she is feeling to friends, having joked that she's on a 'wedding comedown', but in reality, according to her pals, she's feeling quite sad.
Brooklyn's wedding had also been an amazing 'distraction' for Victoria ahead of her 48th birthday, the source added.
The former Spice Girl is aware that ageing is a privilege, nonetheless, she couldn't help but feel she wants to 'turn back the clock'.
"In her line of business, growing older can be extremely stressful. She constantly feels as though she's battling against ageism in the showbiz world.
"She is desperately trying new things to turn back the clock," the insider told.
"She is getting close to her fifties and it's causing her anxiety," they added.
