Victoria Beckham left furious as David almost missed son’s birth for Beyoncé photoshoot

Victoria Beckham has revealed she was left furious when husband David almost missed their son’s birth after he agreed to star in a photoshoot with Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez on the same day.

The former Spice Girl, 49, discussed the moment in their new four-part Netflix docuseries, Beckham, which explores their fairytale romance, the dark side of fame and rumours about the footballer’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos.

In one episode, the fashion designer opened up about welcoming the couple’s third child, a son named Cruz, in Madrid, where they were living while Beckham played for Real Madrid at the time.

After learning of her c-section date, Victoria recalled telling her other half about it, only to be met with a disgruntled David explaining that he had already agreed to shoot a Pepsi advertisement with megastars, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez, on the same day.

Recalling their exchange, Victoria said: “What do you mean, a shoot?” to which the sports star told her: “Yeah, I’ve got to do a shoot with Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé.”

The singer said she replied at the time: “I was like, ‘Are you… Seriously, I’m about to burst, I’m on bed rest. Are you kidding me? You’ve got a damn photoshoot with Jennifer Lopez who is gorgeous and not about to have a baby.’”

In the end, David made it to the birth, although Victoria admitted she was “p****d off” when she saw photos of him posing with the two singers in the days after.

Explaining how she felt, Victoria said: “So I had my C section and I remember lying there, don’t feel at my most gorgeous, let’s just say, and I remember someone showing me the front page of the newspaper which was a gorgeous picture of David between Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé and the headline was, ‘What would Posh say?’

“Let me tell you want Posh would say. Posh was p***ed off.”

In the same documentary, the English footballer revealed he was terrified to sleep next to Victoria and their newborn son Brooklyn over fears their little one would be kidnapped following his red card against Argentina in 1998.
