Victoria Beckham 'feels guilty and frustrated over news Brooklyn was dropped by Superdry'

Victoria Beckham reportedly feels "guilty" and "frustrated" over the news that her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham has been abruptly dropped as an ambassador for Superdry.

Brooklyn, 23, became an ambassador for the fashion brand last year but a spokesperson recently said they company has "decided to work with a different range of talent" for the new season.

The news - which comes just a few months after he married actor Nicola Peltz, 27 - is said to have left his mother Victoria, 48, feeling "upset and frustrated" with her son.

It's been claimed that she had helped Brooklyn - who is her eldest child with husband David Beckham, 47 - secure the deal as a way to boost his profile as he pursues projects.

A source told Heat magazine: "She pulled a lot of strings to get him his Superdry gig. It was supposed to help build his profile [...] so he could start building a future for himself."

They said that he "reportedly said no to various shoots and campaigns" that Superdry had asked for, with the source claiming that it was because "it didn't suit his schedule".

Brooklyn has previously tried his hand at football, cooking and photography, with the source saying "every venture he's tried has fizzled out" - which is said to be "upsetting" for Victoria.

"Victoria and David worked so hard to get where they are and it's such a disappointment to see Brooklyn throwing away these opportunities," the source further commented.

The source said Brooklyn has "always" discussed his career plans with his parents so it's "a little concerning" that things have now changed - amid his wife Nicola telling Tatler that he asks her father, Nelson Peltz, for business advice.

The source said Victoria tried to explain to her eldest son that you have to "work your way up in this industry" but added that he wouldn't listen to his mother's advice.

They said he claimed to have not wanted the Superdry deal and was "accusing her of pushing him into it" - as he's reportedly keen to work with brands like Gucci instead.

"Of course, Victoria now feels guilty for attempting to help in the first place and is trying to take a step back. But it's really hard for her and David to watch," the source concluded.

The Mirror approached representatives for Victoria, David and Brooklyn Beckham asking for comment. We also reached out to Superdry.
