Victoria Beckham has denied her marriage is in trouble and explained the real reason for removing an affectionate tattoo of her husband David's initials from her wrist.
The former Spice Girl, 48, had a very simple reason behind the removal and it all came down to 'aesthetics'. Reassuring fans her 23-year marriage with David was stronger than ever, Victoria said the tattoo removal was simply because it was no longer 'looking pretty', writes The Mirror.
She said: "I had these tattoos a long, long time ago and they just weren’t particularly delicate. They were bleeding a little bit and just not looking pretty. I was just a bit sick of the tattoo."
She said the removal 'didn't mean anything more' than the fact it wasn't looking as nice. "It’s as simple as that," Posh insisted. Meanwhile, her husband still has many tattoos referencing his wife and their children. His wife’s name is tattooed on his right hand, alongside an image of a swallow.
David married Victoria in Ireland in 1999, after meeting her at a charity football game in London in 1997. She performed at the event with the Spice Girls. The bird symbolises the enjoyment and sweetness of life. He also has the number '99' tattooed on his pinkie finger on his right hand.
That year saw him tie the knot with Victoria, win the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United, and welcome eldest son Brooklyn into the world. David also has a Sanskrit tattoo and another one in Latin referencing his wife.
A Hebrew tattoo can be found on both David and Victoria Beckham, translating to 'I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine’. They got matching inks on their sixth wedding anniversary to represent their love for one another.
David has the tattoo on his left arm, whilst Victoria’s can be seen on her upper back and neck. Victoria and David regularly discuss their love for each other on their respective Instagram pages.
Her family, including Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, recently travelled to Paris to support their mum at her Paris Fashion Week show. She recently shared a group snap of her brood sitting beside Vogue editors Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour ahead of her show.
Supportive husband David slung his arm around their daughter Harper, while Romeo, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham cuddled up on the end.
Posh captioned the photo: "It’s Paris baby!! I’m so grateful for my family, @BritishVogue and @VogueMagazine for always supporting me on this journey xx VB".
