Victoria Beckham Beauty is VB’s greatest professional achievement

So far, 2026 has been a messy time to be a Beckham. But if there’s anyone who appears to be coming out well from the ever-evolving Beckham-Peltz feud, it’s matriarch Victoria. She seems to have been riding a wave of fan support throughout, and even scored her first solo number one when her 2001 single ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ climbed to the top of the iTunes chart.

But the fallout also appears to have boosted interest in another chapter of Victoria’s career, which turns out to be very worthy of our attention: Victoria Beckham Beauty. The make-up and skincare line was launched in 2019 as an extension of her eponymous fashion brand, and the products are well and truly ‘trending’.

One of her Satin Kajal eyeliners allegedly sells every 30 seconds, and her recently launched Foundation Drops are currently sold out in various colours online, despite a price tag that exceeds £100.

By many accounts, the success of the beauty brand brought a much-needed financial boost to the VB empire. Victoria has defied critics and deftly pivoted from pop star to designer by building a well-respected fashion brand, which counts Anna Wintour and the Princess of Wales among its fans, and recently earned her a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres award. But there have been financial issues along the way. She has addressed these publicly, including in her recent Netflix documentary.

“We were millions of pounds in the red,” she said. “[...] I knew it was public knowledge. I felt embarrassed, but it’s fact. It wasn’t an opinion. It wasn’t anyone being unkind.” But there’s been a change in recent years; sales rose to £112.7M in 2024, representing the brand’s fourth consecutive year of growth. Evidently, cosmetics have been a commercial success for brand VB.

How has it yielded such results? Quite simply by delivering excellent products. My favourite is the Vast Lash Mascara. With quite a wet formula, it takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it’s hard to look back. The curved brush picks up every lash, managing to build both volume and length, even if you’re cursed with short, straight lashes (as I am). It doesn’t flake off throughout the day but when you do come to remove it, the tubing formulation means it slips off effortlessly with water alone.

I haven’t tried the inordinately expensive foundation drops made with skincare master, Augustinus Bader. But I’ve heard stellar reviews from editors in-the-know who have got their hands on them. As for what else to go for from the range, I asked make-up artist Oonagh Connor, who uses Victoria Beckham Beauty (alongside many other brands) on photoshoots and at events every day, for her honest thoughts.

“The product design of Victoria Beckham Beauty is pure luxury,” she says. “The products and packaging feel weighty and expensive — as, let’s face it, they are.

“The make up really works on shoots. Especially the base products, as the skin takes on an amazing sheer look. The coverage is beautiful and easy to build and blend without it looking too heavy. You don’t need heavy powder with it either as the base tends to be just the right amount of subtle glow without looking oily or shiny.”

The Satin Kajal Liner is another of Connor’s top picks (it’s one of the most hyped products from the range). “They’re so beautiful and very blendable,” she says. “They really do deliver and you can be confident that they won’t budge or flake once blended. The colours are very wearable too.”

The only issue is resisting buying one in every colour.
