Victor Wembanyama impressed by the Boston Celtics in Spurs road loss

It’s pretty hard to be in the presence of 7-foot-4 rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama on the court and not be impressed. And the feeling was evidently mutual between the San Antonio Spurs star and the Boston Celtics in the latter’s 117-98 home win vs. the Spurs on Wednesday. “Everybody can hoop on that team,” said Wemby postgame via CLNS Media.

“Everyone’s a threat on the court. But at the same time, they all know their roles, and they’re all willing to share the ball,” he added. “From the most important franchise guys to the role players, everybody is ready to compete and make the sacrifices.”

“I can see that more compared to the past years as well,” Wembanyama continued.

“I remember clearly watching them in the Finals against Golden State two years ago, and I can see the growth of that team,” added the French forward.
