A victim of fantasist Nicholas Rossi has revealed the hell she suffered at the sex fiend’s hands. Mary Grebinski was sexually abused then sued twice by Rossi, who is in a Scottish jail awaiting extradition to the US on rape charges.
Rossi – who claims to be an Irishman named Arthur Knight – launched the legal actions against Mary in their homeland more than 10 years ago. She said she is speaking out against Rossi, who is also known as Nick Alahverdian, as he is now officially registered as dead.
This means Knight will have to admit he really is Rossi to sue her for a third time. Mary, from Ohio, said: “This is my part of #MeToo. I was a victim for years. I was attacked by Nick Rossi at Sinclair [Community College in Dayton, Ohio] in 2008.
“I pressed charges on him. He was convicted on one count of sexual imposition and one count of public indecency. After that he kinda started this crusade of violence, abuse. He really f***ed with me emotionally.”
In a YouTube video, she said: “He sued me twice. The first time he sued me for ruining his reputation, and that was just... a result of him being on the sex offender registry. I won. The court gave me my legal fees back and they dismissed the case.”
She said he sued her for a second time after she posted about him on Facebook, adding: “Nick said it was inflammatory and defamation and he sued me. The whole time he was running a smear campaign against me online. I was a victim of some pretty dark stuff by Nick.
“Without me, there wouldn’t be a Nick Rossi/Arthur Knight story. It was my DNA from 2008 that tied him to rape and sexual assaults in Utah. Without me, we would’ve never caught him.”
Mary, 33, said the video was the “introduction” to the full story of her torment and will go into more detail in other videos. She added: “Why now? ‘Nick Rossi’, ‘Nick Alahverdian’ is dead and I feel like I am free to speak my truth without being slapped with a lawsuit or smeared online. Nick Rossi is dead and my lawyer says there’s no way Arthur Knight can sue me without admitting he and Nick are the same person.”
Mary said it was important survivors of sex attacks spoke out against abusers, adding: “He attacked me in a stairwell. This is my introduction video. It’s nice to finally get my story out and be heard in the way that I want to be heard. These are my words, there’s no editing. It is really important for everyone to know the truth about Nick and who he really was, what he was capable of and what he did to me.”
She asked for other potential victims to contact her.Tweeting about the video, she wrote: “I just filmed my first video that will be a string of videos about my experience with Nick Rossi. Let’s expose this bottom feeder.”
Edinburgh Sheriff Court will decide in June if Rossi, who fled the States in 2017, should be sent to America to stand trial. He met wife Miranda in the UK and faked his death in his home state of Rhode Island just nine days after their wedding.
But he was caught in Glasgow after being taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in 2021 after contracting Covid. He claimed he was tattooed while in a coma in the Glasgow hospital in a bid to frame him.
