Vicky Pattison has announced that she wants to do more of the things that set her 'soul on fire' in 2023, while promising not to make 'super intimidating, difficult to achieve and generally intense New Year's resolutions'.
The 35-year-old former Geordie Shore favourite has been a little quiet as of late with regards to the new year, but this afternoon she took to Instagram to inform her 5.2million followers of her plans to become 'healthy, happy and strong'.
Taking to her account's stories section, Vicky, penned: "Right 2023...I am ready for you!! Now that I'm no longer hungover, on my period or full of flu, I'm about to make you my b****.
"I have decided though, rather than loads of super intimidating, difficult to achieve and generally intense New Year's resolutions...I'm just going to try and take some small steps that will hopefully take me in the right direction towards achieving my goals for this year.
"I want to be healthy, happy, and strong this year - emphasis on HEALTHY! I want to do more of the things that set my soul on fire and spend more time around people who feel like sunlight. I want to find a good work/life balance and not just work til burnout and then run away on holiday exhausted and anxious.
"But I'm getting ahead of myself...Today I'm just going to start by drinking more water, eating more fresh fruit and vegetables and moving my body...and we'll take it from there."
And Vicky took the chance to inspire others as always, with some helpful advice on prioritising peace and telling people to put themselves first.
She continued: "Good luck to you all for 2023 - I hope your year is filled with everything you want it to be filled with - but remember, nothing changes if you don't. You can't expect to have healthy relationships if you don't respect yourself and have boundaries, you can't expect to be stronger if you don't train and you can't expect to be happier if you don't prioritise your peace and put yourself first once in a while.
"Let's make 2023 the most amazing year yet...By being kind to ourselves and not putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves. We're pretty brilliant as we are - let's just have some fun and make little steps towards being even healthier and happier eh??"
The post is a longshot from the photo Vicky uploaded to the platform earlier this week, showing her cuddled up on the sofa relaxing with a bag of giant buttons. She penned: "New year... Same meeeeeeee.
"I don't know about you guys but January just isn't 'januarying' for me right now. I still just want to lie on the sofa, eat things and watch films..
"I'm sure the desire to drink green juice, beat my 5k PB and give birth to an avocado will eventually arrive but until then I'm going to just do abit more of this and not be so hard on myself. This is my year afterall... and I don't think starting it off with some kindness and snuggles is the worst way to start it do you?!"
On that occasion, many of Vicky's friends and fellow celebs swarmed the comments section in agreement, sharing comments about how they weren't ready to face 2023 and its improvements just yet. One, penned: "Had a galaxy bar and some ritz biscuits for breakfast today."
Another, added: "I’m still with the ‘start tomorrow’ mentality but that can go on a few weeks," while a third, chimed in: "Too much cheese left in the fridge, can't waste it !"
