Vicky Pattison has said that it was 'horrible' having to watch her future mother-in-law battle tirelessly with breast cancer.
The 35-year-old from Newcastle upon Tyne only recently completed a trek across the Sahara Desert for CoppaFeel - a breast cancer charity - after opening up with fiancé Ercan Ramadan's mother's war with the tragic illness.
In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine, the former Geordie Shore favourite and I'm A Celebrity... winner detailed the emotional and harrowing experience.

She said: "We hadn’t been together long and it was horrible to watch. Luckily, she recovered – she’s a proper warrior. But it was just really hard to watch someone I care about feel so helpless. Unfortunately, that’s what cancer does to people.
"It’s the only time in four years I’ve seen Ercan cry.”
Vicky spoke about former TOWIE star Ercan’s mum on Lorraine last year, as she promoted the trek saying: “Ercan's mum actually survived breast cancer years ago so it's something that's close to my heart.”
The star was joined on the trek by a number of other famous faces including Kelsey Parker, Giovanna Fletcher, TOWIE star Pete Wicks and her own mum Carroll.
Vicky and Ercan got engaged in February last year when he popped the question during a romantic dinner on the beach in Dubai. And she also recently confirmed that the pair will be tying the knot next year.
Writing on Instagram, the former Geordie Shore star shared: “I'm so happy I finally get to say this... WE GET MARRIED NEXT YEAR!!!”
She added however, that the location is 'still unknown' after previously revealing Ercan was keen to get married in Cyprus - but she wants their nuptials to be in Italy. Speaking on her wedding plans last year, Vicky, who recently revealed she's started the process of freezing her eggs, spoke of how the duo were planning a star-studded affair across three days in an abroad location.
“I want everyone to have a really nice time,” she said, adding: “I want the day after our wedding to be a pool party and the day before to be a barbecue on the beach.”
And as well as a three-day affair, Vicky also wants three dresses. She continued: “I’ve been waiting a really long time to meet Ercan and finally get married, so I’m not just going to have one [dress], you’re going to have to stop me at three. I’ll have one the night before, the day of and then the evening. Oh, and the hen party outfit!”
