Vicky Pattison has explained how therapy sessions with her future husband saved their relationship.
The star, 34, says she and Ercan Ramadan had to have relationship therapy because they "stopped making each other happy", after an eventful 2022.
Vicky and Ercan got engaged last year, in addition to moving houses and welcoming a pet dog into their home, and the former reality TV star says everything got a bit much for the couple.
After enjoying a "lovely little life in lockdown in a flat", Vicky says all the changes in their lives led to some hard months where it felt like neither of them could say the right thing to each other.
Vicky enjoyed a successful 2022 in terms of her career, thanks to her Channel 4 documentary Alcohol, Dad and Me - an emotional untangling of the part booze played in her childhood - receiving critical acclaim over the summer.
But things were tough at home, as she and Ecran adjusted to life in a new house and becoming parents to their first dog together, Milo.
"The world was open. We had this house to pay for and this dog to train. We both went back to work and we just really struggled," the Vicky recalls.
"We had this proper hard couple of months where it felt like neither of us could say the right thing to each other."
The former Queen of the Jungle goes on to tell The Sun how after speaking to her life coach, she and Ecran began relationship therapy together.
While Vicky says she's a "huge advocate" for therapy, her future husband was a little wary of attending sessions and opening up.
However, the former Geordie Shore star and her fiance did begin their joint therapy and London-born Ecran revealed a few things to their therapist.
Vicky - who has frozen her eggs in preparation for having a baby in the future - recalls how she and Ecran clashed about where they will raise their children when they do start a family.
She explains how she is happy to give birth down south, but wants to return "back up north" when their kids are toddlers.
"But for the first time he openly admitted [in therapy], he was like, ‘I can’t have a house full of people who speak like you. F***ing hate your accent’," the documentary-maker laughed as she looked back on one of their sessions.
The proud Geordie confirmed in her latest interview how she and the former TOWIE star are in a good place now and describes herself and Ecran as "a good match".
Last month, Vicky took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of herself, Ecran and their dog Milo posing together - as they celebrated their last Christmas 'as a three' before their new pup Max arrives.
Vicky acknowledged how the festive period can be a difficult time for many as she shared the adorable picture with her followers, hours on from posting a candid update about learning to embrace kindness and self-love.
The star - who fronted a moving Channel 4 documentary this year - shared a variety of selfies and snaps of herself posing naturally, with no filters or edits.
She also included a cute video of herself spending some quality time with her niece as she urged her followers not to worry about having their picture taken over the festive period.
