Harris was originally scheduled to head to Detroit but decided to make a detour to the popular comedy show.

'Saturday Night Live' is known for featuring impersonators portraying various politicians, with Maya Rudolph notably playing the role of Vice President Harris since 2019. It is quite uncommon for the actual politicians to appear on the show, making Harris's appearance a special and rare occurrence.
