The final pre-election NPR/PBS News/Marist poll, released Monday, reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris is currently leading former President Donald Trump among likely voters nationally, with a margin of 51% to 47%. The poll indicates that 55% of likely voters believe Trump is mainly proposing policies he intends to implement, while 44% think Harris is doing the same. However, opinions are divided on whether Harris truly plans to carry out her proposals, with a 49% to 49% split.
When it comes to handling the economy, likely voters are evenly split, with 50% favoring Trump and 49% favoring Harris. The poll also shows that Harris has a more favorable personal rating, with 50% rating her positively compared to 45% for Trump.
After incorporating the latest poll results, the average of national polls indicates that 49% of likely voters support Harris, while 47% back Trump. Among the five surveys included in the average, two show Harris in the lead, while three do not show a clear frontrunner in the race.
