Vice President Harris Earns Support In Democratic Presidential Race

Democratic U.S. presidential candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden at the 11th Democratic candidates debate of the 2020 U.S. presidential campaign in Washington

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro recently commented on the Democratic race, stating that Vice President Harris earned the support she received. Shapiro emphasized that the process was open to any politician who wanted to enter the race but highlighted Harris's strong performance and subsequent nomination.

Shapiro expressed pride in supporting Harris, noting that she had excelled in the race and garnered the necessary backing. With President Joe Biden's decision not to run in the 2024 race, questions arose about potential new candidates, with Shapiro indicating that the field was open to all contenders.

Highlighting the Vice President's decision to enter the race, Shapiro underscored his immediate endorsement of her candidacy, along with President Biden's support. He also shared details of his communication with Harris, mentioning that she sought his endorsement and discussed strategies to defeat former President Donald Trump.

Although Harris secured the required number of delegates to clinch the Democratic Party's presidential nomination early in her campaign, she has not yet been officially declared the nominee.
