Harris specifically called out the individuals associating with Hamas, a terrorist organization known for its violent tactics and anti-Israel stance. She emphasized that Hamas has openly declared its intentions to destroy Israel and harm Jewish people, making any support or affiliation with the group unacceptable.
The Vice President also denounced the burning of the American flag during the protest, highlighting the significance of the flag as a symbol of the nation's core values and ideals. She stressed that such acts of disrespect towards the flag are not in line with the principles that America stands for.
While acknowledging the right to peaceful protest, Harris made it clear that there is no room for antisemitism, hate, or violence of any kind within the country.
