Veteran Conservative MP and arch Eurosceptic Sir Bill Cash has announced he will step down at the next election and retire from political life.
Sir Bill, chairman of the Commons’ European Scrutiny Committee, said it would be a “big wrench” to leave Parliament after four decades spent as an MP.
