Most dogs would rather be anywhere else than sitting in the vet's waiting room - and we can understand why.
Dogs can end up being 'poked with needles' during their check-ups - causing them to develop anxiety over visiting the vets.
Sadly, they don't understand why a stranger in a white coat is doing this to them or how it's in their best interests, protecting them from catching harmful illnesses.
One veterinary practice has been trying to ease anxiety amongst owners and their dogs by starting their appointments off in a playful manner.

A dog owner has shared an "adorable" letter they received from their vets on Reddit inviting their dog, named Suki, to pop in for her booster vaccination.
The owner said: "This is a letter our vet sends out - and it's absolutely adorable!"
Directed to Suki, the letter reads: "Now don't panic but the nice vet wants to see you. Believe it or not these annual vaccination boosters are very important in maintaining your immunity against serious canine diseases. One type can also infect humans (those things that feed and walk you)."
Jokingly warning the dog against hiding the letter from her owner, the vet stressed the importance of keeping up-to-date with vaccinations.
It continues: "This letter is not to be eaten or buried but presented to your owner, who, being a responsible person, will phone the veterinary practice and make the appointment within 14 days to qualify for a 10 per cent discount. Think of all the treats that can buy!
"Oh, and whilst they are rushing you out the door to come and see me, tell them not to forget the vaccination record card please. Looking forward to seeing you."
While most users said they've "never received anything like it", others praised the vets for their adorable attempt to try to get the dog in for its jab.
One user said: "This is so cute! Your vets must be a very friendly place, who know how to have a bit of fun."
Another simply said: "Love this - great idea."
When a puppy is born, it is usually protected from infections by its mother's milk, providing she has been regularly vaccinated, but this only lasts a few weeks, meaning dogs need regular vaccinations from an early age.
A RSPCA statement reads: "If the number of pets protected by vaccines drops, our four-legged friends could be at risk from an outbreak of infectious diseases - some of which can be transmitted to humans. Keep your pets safe by keeping them up to date with their vaccinations.
"Older pets need protecting too, as their immunity can decline. Ask your vet for advice, as the frequency with which your pet needs vaccinating can vary depending on the diseases prevalent in your area."
