'Very upsetting': police investigate as Bernie's Bar patrons pelted with eggs and cat food

Police are looking into an incident where attendees at Newcastle's only dedicated LGBTQIA+ space had eggs and cat food thrown at them.

Newcastle police officers were conducting proactive patrols of licensed premises through the city as part of Operation Vikings when they attended Bernie's Bar on King Street at 10pm on Saturday, September 26.
