The family of missing rugby player Levi Davis have said they are frustrated with a lack of information, more than one month after he was last seen in Spain.

The 24-year-old travelled to Barcelona on October 29 and was last seen on CCTV going to the Old Irish Pub around 10pm, having spent the previous few days in Ibiza.

His mother Julie said progress with Spanish authorities has been “very slow” since she last heard his passport was discovered in the city’s port area.

“[This has been] the scariest time,” she said, “an emotional whirlwind".

“Since the last thing we heard about the passport, there's been no more information.”

Spanish police told the BBC there have been several possible sightings but have given no further update on the investigation.

Julie said she received a video of Levi on a boat on the day of his disappearance and has travelled out with another son, Nathan, to try and find him.

Levi had reportedly been suffering with injuries in the weeks before his disappearance and both Julie and a friend said he had been struggling emotionally.

Julie said her hopes were dampened by the discovery of the passport but is still hopeful of a positive outcome.

She added: “We're all missing you, all the family cares for you so much. We just want you home, son.

“Please come home and we can sort out whatever is going on, together."

Levi has a promising rugby career, and is currently on the books of Worthing Raiders having previously played for Bath.
