MUMBAI: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Sunday expressed its “disappointment” over Indian Olympic Association (IOA) failing to appoint a full-time CEO to manage the day-to-day affairs of the organisation, despite the elections to its new executive council (EC) taking place in December last year.
The IOC has issued a fresh warning to the PT Usha-led IOA to appoint a CEO by next month without any further delay to “ensure safeguarding of the athletes’ interests” and for the sports body becoming fully compliant with the Olympic charter.
