A killer who stabbed his parents to death continues to threaten other members of his family.
Lee Tipping stabbed his dad Anthony to death in a frenzied knife attack at the home they shared on Cann Bridge Street in Higher Walton in Lancashire. The 36-year-old then turned the knife on his mum Patricia Livesey, when she tried to intervene, reports Lancs Live.
Members of the Tipping and Livesey families said they received chilling phone calls from the killer following his arrest. They added they are now always looking over their shoulder and have fitted extra security in their homes.

Tipping was arrested by armed police at a hotel in Manchester city centre the day after the attacks on his parents after a failed attempt to leave the country. He was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to Guild Lodge, a secure psychiatric unit on the outskirts of Preston, where he remained until the start of his trial.
But as members of the Tipping and Livesey families struggled to process the devastating news that Anthony, 60, and Patricia, 56, had been murdered by their own flesh and blood, they were faced with further threats. Tipping told staff at Guild Lodge he would burn down the houses of his family members - and made several attempts to contact them by telephone.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Lee’s uncle, Stuart Tipping, said: “The police offered to install panic alarms and fit smoke alarms and fire alarms in all rooms, locks for our letterboxes and outside bins, and fire extinguishers. How can we feel unsafe in our own homes?
“This has left us anxious and losing sleep during a time when we should have been grieving. We never thought we would be locking ourselves in our houses just in case, or disconnecting phone lines to ensure that Lee cannot ring us again.
“Even after being arrested and detained at Guild Lodge he was still attempting to call our family. We have had no choice but to change telephone numbers, disconnect landlines and we live in fear of the danger posed by our nephew.
“Lee residing so close, being in Guild Lodge these past six months, has really furthered this fear and anxieties. We have been kept up at night with questions like ‘is it really secure? Can he get out?’
“I know that some of us feel that we are constantly looking over our shoulders when out in public. My sister has been working from home due to the pandemic but was due to go back into the office two days a week, however she has been unable to do this due to the threats she has received from Lee.
“She has told me how she feels anxious about public transport and walking to work alone.”
On Thursday July 28, 2022, Lee Tipping was jailed for life with a minimum term of 27 years. The Tipping family say they will never forgive him for taking the lives of Anthony and Patricia, who loved him dearly.
Before the killer is released he will be subject to stringent checks by the Parole Board and if he still poses a risk, he will be kept in custody. He may never be released from prison.
