Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodríguez firmly rejected the notion of her country becoming the 51st U.S. state on Monday, following remarks from Donald Trump that he was "seriously considering" such a move.
Rodríguez delivered her defiant message at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, where she was attending the final day of hearings in a territorial dispute between Venezuela and neighboring Guyana over the resource-rich Essequibo region.
