A vegan who failed to deal with a mouse infestation at her home has claimed that taking action would have gone against her ethical beliefs.
Margaret Manzoni was fined by a court after Tendring District Council said she “considered the mice her pets and “said they would not go to her neighbours because she looked after them”.
The 73-year-old pensioner was prosecuted for a second time after failing to comply with a previous order in April.
