Meeting someone organically, out and about, is becoming a thing of the past with an increasing number of people turning to online dating and apps to meet the love of their life. For most singles, they will have dabbled in the classics like Tinder, Hinge or Bumble at least once in their relationship journey.
Just because there is an abundance of people on the apps, doesn't mean you'll find someone who is right for you though. This is being tackled by a wave of more specific dating apps for people who have similar interests or backgrounds.
Well lucky for any life long vegans or those who have made it this far into Veganuary, there's a new vegan friendly app making waves - Grazer.
Discover, learn, grow. We are Curiously. Follow us on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
This isn't the first niche dating app for plant-based people but its loud campaign has been turning heads. Signs have popped up with the words "f**k vegans" across the UK, encouraging users to do so literally.
In promotional pictures for the campaign, launched in the middle of Veganuary, RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon Boulash can be seen with the slogan written on their body and clothing.
One picture shows Bimini with a big faux fur coat on, with "f**k vegans" spray painted in red across the back. Bimini has been vegan since 2014 and announced simply "I'm vegan" as they made their debut on Drag Race.
Behind this bold campaign is Grazer, a UK-based dating and friend-finding app for vegans and vegetarians. App founder Lewis Foster began creating and shaping their vision in 2016 and then rebranded last November for World Vegan Day.
The app calls themselves the "meatless matchmakers" and allows anyone who is vegan, vegetarian or any other plant-based diet to mingle.
In an Instagram post, Grazer and Bimini wrote: "I’ve been getting down and dirty with Grazer, the meatless matchmaker. Last year I invested in Grazer so now vegans can go f**k themselves, finally.
"Are you a plant-based princess? Horny herbivore? Or are you flexi on the DL? Check out Grazer now and find your meatless match!"
Bimini also posted the campaign with a video of them visiting Edinburgh castle in the faux fur jacket, they wrote: "I got banned from Edinburgh castle viewpoint for having f**k vegans written on my faux fur coat."
In the video, Bimini said: "There's a wanted list against me, because I've got f**k vegans written on my coat in irony, which obviously they don't get."
Wanting to find a partner with similar values to you means it's no surprise that dating apps are becoming more niche and for anyone with a specific plant-based type, maybe Grazer will be the one.
