Vegan cafe in Weston-super-Mare on the brink of closure as owner issues desperate plea

The owner of a vegan cafe in Weston-super-Mare has issued a ‘use us or lose us’ plea - warning it may have to close. Owner of Tasty Nature Cafe, Claire Murray, took to social media to make the plea for people to support the cafe, which has only been open for 18 months ago.

Despite veganism booming in popularity across the country, Claire, 48, says in the past few weeks business has been slow. She set up the cafe after moving to a plant-based diet herself, reports Somerset Live

She started to explore different recipes for herself before deciding to open the venue at Waterloo Street in September 2020. Claire said: “When I moved to a plant-based diet I thought the challenge of baking vegan was an interesting one so I started researching recipes.
