MUMBAI: Left-arm spinner Vedant Gadia, who has played for the Mumbai Under-19 team, took amazing figures of six for five in 4.5 overs to bowl Goregaon Sporting Club to a 102-run win over Mazgaon Cricket Club in the semifinal of the GK Phanse U-19 Cricket tournament.
Goregaon Sporting Club will now clash with Dombivili Cricket Club in the final. Asked to bat first, Goregaon SC scored 205 all out, with Manan Bhat (56) and Vedant Gadia (39) being the main run-getters. In reply, Mazgaon Cricket Club was bundled out for 77, as Gadia destroyed their innings.
In the other semifinal, Dombivli Cricket Club beat Sporting Union Club (Dadar) by nine runs.
