Vauxhall Motors got themselves back on track with a 2-0 win away at Northwich Victoria on Saturday afternoon.
Motors have started the NWCFL Campaign in fantastic fashion. However, their unbeaten start came to an end last time out away at Charnock Richard.
Lewis Buckley and Bobbie McDonnell were the scorers this weekend against Northwich who honoured their late Secretary, Dave Thomas. The club labelled Dave a ‘true legend’.
The hosts could’ve got themselves in front within the opening ten minutes as they pounced on a mistake from the Motors backline. Tom Mitchell got in the way, intercepting the ball well to deny an open goal opportunity.

Vauxhall soon started to find their feet and would have opened the scoring through Ben Holmes but for a great double save from the Vics keeper, Christopher Cheetham.
The first substitution was made by Mick McGraa halfway through the second half as Conor Harwood was replaced by McDonnell.
The forward made an immediate impact as he did well on the right hand side before pulling the ball back across goal for Lewis Buckley to smash home.
McDonnell netted the second to seal the three points as he tapped a Micheal Burkey cross into the net with few minutes left on the clock.
Vauxhall Motors are next in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Barnoldswick Town looking to add another win next to their name at the top of the table.
