Vast holiday park plan in pipeline for Ayrshire coast as caravan village proposal emerges

Plans to create a coastal holiday park in Ardrossan have been submitted to North Ayrshire Council.

The proposal would see 228 seasonal caravans dotted around a central activities/dining hub on the site of the former Montfode Oil Depot near the A78 at Eglinton Road, 1.5 miles from the town centre.

The mooted 'Ardrossan Eco Village Park' tourism and leisure development would include a restaurant/bar, swimming pool, gymnasium, beauty treatment, soft play room and outdoor activities including a pony trek, mini golf and bowling green.
