VAR has come in for some criticism in recent weeks after some high-profile errors in Premier League games.
Lee Mason has left his role as a Video Assistant Referee by 'mutual consent' less than a week after he failed to draw offside lines on Ivan Toney’s controversial equaliser at Arsenal.
And Brighton were also left feeling aggrieved as VAR drew offside lines on the wrong defender and incorrectly disallowed a goal against Crystal Palace.

But could we be getting closer to seeing VAR introduced in the Irish League?
The system was tested during Saturday's game between Crusaders and Coleraine at Seaview but was not used within the game itself..
It is part of a feasibility study aimed at examining the potential of introducing the technology into the top-flight here and follows an initial test during Linfield's game against Glenavon on November 12 last year.
At that time the Irish FA said it was an "investigatory demonstration and conversations around any wider implementation are in their infancy" with any proposed system being a watered down version of the one seen in Europe's top leagues.
Speaking after Saturday's game Crues boss Stephen Baxter welcomed any additional help for the officials but added a number of questions had to be answered first as to how it would be implemented.
"I would like them to get all the other decisions right first," joked Baxter.
"Provided we have the ability to see it through in the wider context ie have we got the bodies, have we got the money, is it going to be across the board and is it going to be even-handed?
"So there's a lot to discuss. I don't know what stage it's at.
"I certainly welcome all the changes that are being made in football across the board when it's an improvement in our game.
"There's obviously big talking points around different things but you have to get what's right for the game.
"There are a lot of people for it and a lot against it.
"I think our boys do a sterling job. The referees sometimes get a bit of stick from here and there, but by and large I think they do a fabulous job under extreme pressure and circumstance.
"There's a lot at stake and getting the big decisions right is never easy.
"If they get a little bit of extra help then grand, as long as it doesn't slow the game down and it takes 10 minutes to make a decision. So we'll see where it goes."
