In a year dominated by ongoing market volatility, increasing geopolitical risks, and a highly unpredictable rate environment, one constant has remained in the investment world: Vanguard’s dominant presence in the ETF space.
The company has attracted over $150 billion in ETF inflows during the year to date (as of May 18), per FactSet data cited by Etf.com, headed by the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (NYSE:VOO), which alone accounted for $82 billion. This figure not only tops all other ETFs industry-wide but also underscores a growing divergence in investor behavior: a decisive shift toward low-cost, rules-based strategies.
