Vanessa Feltz clashed with royal biographer Angela Levin during a tense discussion about Meghan Markle on TalkTV yesterday, in which the writer was questioned on her views.
The segment saw Angela - whose books include a biography of Prince Harry - asked if she felt any guilt over the way in which Meghan has been treated in recent years.
Angela has been quite critical of the Duchess of Sussex in the past, which prompted TalkTV presenter Vanessa, 60, to ask if she feels "any guilt" over influencing others' opinions.
Vanessa asked: "Do you feel that you have been responsible for fuelling a kind of anti-Meghan faction that has been spiteful and targeting and possibly fanciful as well?"
The TV and radio presenter further commented following her questions that "quite a lot" of what has been said about Meghan has been "pretty much manufactured anyway".
Angela dismissed the suggestion that she feels guilt over the situation, responding: "I think the talking to Oprah Winfrey was a disgrace, there were at least 17 lies there.
"I think she's attacked the royals completely unnecessarily. I think she's changed Harry to be a sort of walking victim," she continued in response to the questions from Vanessa.
Vanessa interjected to further discuss Prince Harry, saying: "Hang on. That means you consider him a sap, someone so malleable. [...] He's served very bravely in mortal combat. He's not the kind of guy that can be pushed around, is he?"
Angela responded: "I don't have to justify myself to you. I'm not in court. This is my view. This is what I've said. People ask me questions and I answer them honestly."
She added that she has followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "very closely," and spent more than a year with the former. She said that he now seems like a different person.

"The Prince Harry I knew was absolutely charming, instinctive like his mother, full of fun, and now he looks, when he's out, incredibly unhappy and very very tense and resentful," she said.
Vanessa questioned whether Angela's opinions are "based on any real knowledge" about Meghan's personality, adding: "How can you know? How can any of us really know?"
She wondered whether Angela has "imagined" some things and if her opinions are "fact" or "conjecture," which only caused further tension with the guest.
The royal commentator - who appeared via video link - responded: "I'd rather you didn't attack me. [...] You're not just asking me, you've got an agenda there to attack me."
"I don't really think I want to be invited on to this programme and then to be treated in this manner. [...] I'm not going to answer any more questions," she further stated.
The segment ended shortly afterwards, with host Vanessa thanking guest Angela for appearing on her show.
The Mirror approached reps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
Vanessa's show on TalkTV airs weekdays from 4pm.
