This Morning's Vanessa Feltz shared her hopes to find love again, as she spoke of her heartbreak following her split from ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu.
The TV host shared the news last week, confirming they had split after 16 years together.
Vanessa was inundated with messages from fans in response to the news, and on Wednesday she returned to This Morning for the first time since revealing all.
Speaking with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Vanessa revealed how she was coping following the split - and later on in the show she was offered advice by viewers at home.
Viewers called in to wish her well and shared what had helped them deal with recent heartbreaks of their own, with Vanessa thanking them all for their support.
As the call-in came to an end, Vanessa shared her hopes to find love again as she appeared to confirm it was over for good for her and Ben.
She told Holly and Phil: "Maybe I'm an absolute glutton for punishment but I would like to fall in love again. I definitely would."
As Holly said: "Yeah, and you will," Vanessa went on: "I like to have someone to love. And I like the idea of [having] someone to love me too.
"That's what I was brought up to do and that's what I'd like to do, but I'm sure as beep gonna have a great time anyway even if I am not in love, I'll give lots of love."
Holly then said: "The other thing that is nice about all these calls and messages, sometimes when you're going through something like this you feel like it's only happening to you in this world, you're the only one going through this and you're not."
Vanessa replied: "I'm definitely not, I know I'm not. There's been a real outpouring so I know I'm not. I certainly don't want to act or seem like I think this is a bigger deal than anyone else.
"It's only totally routine, it's actually a bog-standard story. It's really not that special, it's just that it's my actual heart is all."
The TalkTV presenter said she has found enormous solace in the support she has received from others, since announcing the split on Instagram over the weekend.
“People have been amazing,” she said in the ITV studio. “Absolutely amazing and of course it helps a lot.
“I can’t sleep at all, so reading thousands and thousands of messages from lovely people on Instagram is something to do in the night.”
She added: “When you have to end a relationship it’s very hard. I’ve had what feels like millions of messages from so, so many people going through it.
“I wouldn’t want to minimise in any way what it’s like when you’re heartbroken. It’s horrible.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
