Vanessa Feltz has admitted she is "not herself" as she discussed how she is feeling after her split from Ben Ofoedu.
The 60-year-old TV star revealed the end of her relationship with long term boyfriend Ben, 50, in an honest Instagram post over the weekend.
Since sharing the news with fans, Vanessa has been incredibly honest with how she's dealing with the break up – including asking fans to help mend her broken heart.
Now, Vanessa has confided in Ulrika Jonsson over her breakup – who has advised her to "embrace the pain".
Vanessa's Celebrity Big Brother pal Ulrika, 55, appeared via video link on Vanessa's TalkTV show last night, where the pair discussed Vanessa's breakup.
Sharing her feelings, Vanessa revealed: "I know that you said: 'I know you heart's broken' – probably technically it's not really, but I know I'm not myself because I'm not even going near the chocolate biscuits and normally I would want to but I'm not.
"And it's not because I don't want to put weight on it's just because I'm not hungry and that's not me at all."
Ulrika responded: "Yes, well that often happens and I think that's the case in my life – the time's when I've been my skinniest is when I've not been my happiest.
"But, actually what you should remember is that you are in your best... you're like the fittest you've ever been, the best looking and you're in the greatest shape!"
A flattered Vanessa put her hands up and giggled as Ulrika continued: "So it's not that, because I know you talked about, 'Oh I didn't expect to find myself single at 60', I mean I wouldn't think of you as 60 and you look better now than you did when you suffered your..."
Vanessa, who is reportedly being eyed up by Celebs Go Dating bosses for the next series, then shared some advice Ulrika gave her as she said: "Well like you said: 'Embrace the pain and get a dog Ulrika, do you mean it?'"
In reply, Ulrika explained: "Nobody should get a dog just for the sake of it."
"Not just for a broken heart, no no no," Vanessa said as the model continued: "Absolutely not but if you think it's a permanent thing and you think you can care for it then definitely. Or borrow a dog, go and cuddle a dog or a pet or whatever!"
Vanessa then went on to explain she was lucky as she had her baby granddaughter Cecily Violet, who's mother is Vanessa's daughter Saskia, to cuddle.
She said: "Today she came over – not on her own, with my daughter – and I had a good talk to her, she's four months old and she can converse and I had a marvellous cuddle, that was great.
"I know she's not a therapy baby but she's absolutely great."
Vanessa and Ulrika appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together in 2010 and have remained pals since.
