Vanessa Feltz issued an emotional plea to her fans during a heartfelt discussion with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning.
The presenter, 60, recently announced her split from Ben Ofoedu following suspicions he had been unfaithful.
Vanessa joined to the duo on the settee to candidly discuss her love life, after she confirmed she was single for the first time in 16 years. She told them she "had my heart and soul" in their coupling before the breakup.
She also admitted she hadn't been able to sleep since the split but said she was grateful for the influx of support she had received, adding she often reads the comments in the "middle of the night".
"People have been amazing, absolutely amazing, and of course it helps a lot as I can't sleep at all," she said.
"I'm not alone and also, I've been through it before it's not like I'm a stranger to this stuff. I've already had a horrible divorce! It's quite familiar this awful feeling!
"I'm absolutely not going to let it grind me down, I'm just not, however I feel inside I'm going to put it on the outside definitely."
When the conversation then moved to the show's regular phone-in section, Vanessa told viewers the day's chats would be focussed on broken hearts.
She went on to say while laughing: "I suppose in a way if I’m completely honest, I’d love it if people could phone in and tell me how they got over it themselves."
Holly quickly added: "Help Vanessa today," before Vanessa quickly quipped back: "Yeah, help me!"
She openly asked for any advice she could receive, before adding: "If you’ve got stuff you want to tell me I’ll be really grateful to receive it."
Fans were quick to offer support online, with one Twitter user saying: "Oh huge hugs to dear Vanessa Feltz. Good on her that she is going to keep strong after her split from Ben. Lovely lady."
Vanessa shared an emotional clip with her fans on Instagram on Sunday, telling the camera: "Well, I haven’t been on Instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after 16 years and I honestly didn’t know what to say to you on Instagram."
She's since also discussed her breakup on her TalkTV show. On Monday, she welcomed viewers by saying: "I hope you're happy and jolly. I hope your weekend was better than mine."
