Vanderpump Rules: Who are the stars that have been axed?

Bravo's popular show Vanderpump Rules will return for a 12th season but the cast will be completely different.

On November 26, the network said the reality show, which follows 64-year-old Lisa Vanderpump and the employees of her neighbourhood restaurants and bars, would be renewed.

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump said in a statement.

“I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”

“With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together,” executive producer Alex Baskin added.

Vanderpump Rules, a spin-off of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, began in 2013 and starred Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder, who were all employees at Vanderpump's West Hollywood staple SUR Restaurant & Lounge at the time.

The cast has expanded over time to include Brittany Cartwright, James Kennedy, Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, and Tom Schwartz.

Unfortunately, these cast members will not be returning to the new season.

The show inspired another spin-off called The Valley, which made its premiere earlier this year.

Following ten years of broadcasting, Vanderpump Rules gained widespread attention in March 2023 when it was revealed that Sandoval and Madix had broken up after over ten years of dating because of his liaison with Kennedy's ex-fiance, Rachel Leviss.

Even though the show had more viewers than ever before and was nominated for an Emmy, Sandoval caused a rift within the group since some former SURvers were angry Madix would not appear in scenes with her ex. Bravo then made the decision to delay for a long time before starting season 12.

Production for season 12 is scheduled to start in 2025. At a later time, the cast and launch date will be revealed.
