After becoming the first driver in 60 years to win his maiden NASCAR start, Shane van Gisbergen is yet to speak with team principal Jamie Whincup about moving on to his next venture.

Red Bull Ampol Racing's van Gisbergen is in north Queensland ahead of the NTI Townsville 500 this weekend after completing four flights across the world following his NASCAR heroics.
